Important Information Regarding ALL Shipments to Qatar Prohibited Articles

Documents Required for Clearance in Qatar

  1. Original Commercial Invoice, duly authenticated by Chamber of Commerce in the exporting country, with total amount value and currency, invoice number, HS code, terns of shipment, county of origin, quantity, gross weight, and original exporter stamp/seal and authorized signature.
  2. Certificate of Origin, duly authenticated by Chamber of Commerce in the exporting country. COO should have 100% correct invoice number mentioned, gross weight, and actual country of origin. If in the EU, the specific country in the EU must be specified.
  3. Packing List, with the total number of packages, total gross weight, net weight, dimensions, and original exporter stamp/seal with signature. The packing list should have the invoice number mentioned
  4. Gross weight in the packing list should have a unit (Lbs or Kg) mentioned correctly
  5. All document details, i.e. invoice, packing list, and COO details should match with the contents in the Bill of Lading.
  6. All items should have “made in” marked on them. The Qatar Customs law says only EMBOSSED/ENGRAVED/DIGITALLY PRINTED “MADE IN country” should be on each item.
  7. Physically what is marked on the cargo should also be on the COO
  8. No ZERO value invoices will be accepted by Qatar Customs, even if goods are samples or replacement orders. The value should be in USD.
  9. Compliance with Above Requirements
  10. Clients who fail to comply with the above-required documents, or who ship prohibited goods, will be held liable for all costs of fines, goods, and costs incurred for the entire container.
